
Bryan Bowden is a well recognized audio/visual artist. His career as a visual artist began to take shape after working in the music industry as a highly regarded session/touring drummer. Working with the notable producers Rick Rubin (Johnny Cash, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Beastie Boys) and Dave Fridmann (The Flaming lips, Jane’s Addiction, MGMT), he became fascinated with the film/video medium and began to understand the important connection between music and imagery. He soon began to explore the visual medium and industry insiders began to take notice. He spent 2 years working with Peter Hurley who is recognized as the world’s leading headshot photographer and helped him launch Peter’s PH2 program which now has over 1500 photographers worldwide shooting under it’s wing. After leaving NYC for Europe to hone his skills as a visual artist, he was welcomed with open arms. In 2009 he made his powerful editorial debut in Europe for Anno Magazine with a 10 page story that caught the industry’s attention. He has since established himself in New York City as a unique talent, capturing moments with his distinct cinematic mood. His bold and dramatic imagery, charged with emotion and narrative, has garnered him respect among his peers. Bryan has now been focussing on his future in filmmaking bringing his vision to create stylistically compelling imagery to his projects and collaborations. He currently divides his time between New York City and Charleston, SC . . . he also shoots frequently in Europe.
